On May 31, 2025, the international certified training program for teachers «Soft Skills in Higher Education: EU Expertise» successfully concluded, organised by the grant educational project Hub of the EU solutions, based at the National University «Ostroh Academy». Over six weeks, participants immersed themselves in intensive online learning focused on developing soft skills, academic integrity, digital tools, fundraising, European strategic practices, and human rights in education.
The program was designed so that each participant not only gained new knowledge but also had the opportunity to immediately apply it in practice by submitting their work. The combination of theoretical blocks with practical cases and live discussions made the learning process engaging and truly beneficial.
«This program has become a true example of how European approaches can harmoniously integrate into Ukrainian higher education. I sincerely thank each participant for their activity, trust, and the inspiration they provided every week. For us, this course is not an end, but only the beginning of a great movement forward», shared the project author of HEUS, Olga Balatska.
One of the key achievements was that the program united educators from different regions of Ukraine who share common values, strive for change, and are open to implementing innovations in their institutions. Over 400 participants from every corner of Ukraine joined the program, with representatives from 80 universities involved.
After the course ended, we received a large number of heartfelt and inspired reviews. Participants noted the high quality of the presented material, the relevance of the topics, and the professional delivery. Many stated that the program became a powerful impetus for reconsidering their teaching approach and implementing European standards in the educational process.
